Colombia Cultural and Archaeological

Day 1. Bogotá

Arrival in the city of Bogotá, Assistance at El Dorado International Airport and Transfer to the Hotel for check-in, Accommodation.

Day 2. Bogotá - City Tour

Breakfast at the Hotel. At the agreed time, the Panoramic tour of the historic center of Bogotá, also called "La Candelaria," will begin, during which you will visit Bolívar Square (The Primate Cathedral, Nariño's House, Liévano Palace, and The Palace of Justice). The Gold Museum, where you will see about 34,000 pre-Hispanic gold pieces and over 25,000 pre-Columbian objects. Subsequently, you will visit the Mint House and Botero Donation, where works by the master Fernando Botero, a Colombian internationally recognized in different artistic techniques such as painting, drawing, and sculpture, are exhibited. Continuing the tour, you will ascend to Monserrate. To conclude our tour and sweeten the afternoon, we will have a typical tasting of Paila ice cream. Return to the hotel and Accommodation.

Day 3. Bogotá - San Agustín

Breakfast at the Hotel. At the agreed time, Transfer to El Dorado International Airport to take a flight (Not included) to Neiva.

Reception at Benito Salas Airport in Neiva and transfer to San Agustín.

Day 4. San Agustín

Breakfast at the Hotel. At the agreed time, the tour of San Agustín Archaeological Park will begin to visit the archaeological museum, the lava footprints fountain, and ancient stone statues. Time for lunch. Then, a tour of Alto de las Piedras and Mortiño Waterfall (230 m). At the end of the afternoon, return to the hotel.

Dia 5. San Agustín - Popayán

Day 6. Popayán - Cali

Breakfast at the Hotel. Early departure from Popayán to the Silvia market, observing ancestral customs, interacting with the community, handicrafts (market only on Tuesdays). Free time for lunch (Not included). In the afternoon, transfer from Silvia to the salsa capital of Colombia, Cali. Duration approximately 2 ½ hours. Accommodation in Cali.

Day 7 Cali - Coffee Axis

Breakfast at the Hotel. In the morning, a visit to the city's most representative sites will take place, such as the church and Mirador de San Antonio, Monument to Sebastián de Belalcázar, "El Gato del Río" Park, La Merced Church, Cathedral, Caycedo Square, the Governor's Office, and others. The tour ends at one of the best salsa schools where there will be an hour-long class with champion teachers in this genre. Free time for lunch (not included) and to begin the overland transfer to the city of Armenia (Approximate duration 3 hours). Accommodation in Armenia.

Day 8 Coffee Region

Breakfast at the hotel, then we will begin the journey to the Cocora Valley. Upon arrival, we enter the Cocora Natural Reserve and hike to reach the Palm Forest, where you can appreciate the biodiversity of fauna and flora. Here, you will see the tallest wax palm in the world, a national emblem. Free time for lunch (not included). Afterward, we head to Salento for a Walking tour, visiting its colonial streets. Continuing the tour, we board a typical Willys Jeep (2 people or more) to transfer to the El Ocaso coffee farm, where you will experience the interactive coffee process. Return to the hotel for accommodation.

Day 9 Coffee Farm. Coffee Cultural Landscape - Cartagena

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, transfer to El Edén International Airport for a flight (not included) to Cartagena (It is suggested to take a flight departing from the city of Armenia in the morning before 9:00 am). Upon arrival in Cartagena, assistance at Rafael Núñez International Airport. Transfer to the hotel for check-in. Free time for lunch (not included).

At the agreed time in the afternoon, a panoramic tour begins in a private transport unit equipped with air conditioning through the residential neighborhoods of Bocagrande, Castillo Grande, and Manga. Arrival at La Popa Hill, where you will have a complete view of the city, guided tour of the convent and church. Then, visit the San Felipe de Barajas Castle, the most important military engineering work of Spain in America, which protected the city from pirate attacks. After this visit, return to the hotel via Avenida Santander, where you can appreciate the bulwarks and walls of the historic center; visit the artisan center Las Bóvedas.

Day 10. Cartagena

Breakfast at the Hotel. At the agreed time, the Fishing and Native Cooking Day Excursion will begin, ideal for direct contact with the native population of the Afro-Caribbean fishing village and learning, hands-on, how to set up fishing nets and crab traps, and then helping to prepare the crabs at a fisherman's home.

Duration: 7 hours,

Day 11. Cartagena

Breakfast at the Hotel. According to the scheduled flight itinerary to your city of Origin, transfer to Rafael Núñez International Airport will be arranged.
